FBFF: Hair Care

Today's FBFF topic is Hair! Okay, now, whatever you do, don't go look too closely at my recent pictures to see how my hair looks, because . . . um . . . it desperately needs to be cut and colored!

1. How often do you get your hair cut? I usually get it cut every 8 to 10 weeks, depending on how broke I am as the 8th week approaches. This time around, I'm way overdue! When we started our Finance Challenge, we decided we weren't spending any money for 4 weeks unless it was absolutely necessary. Well, I have deemed getting my hair cut necessary! So, I'm due to get it cut next week sometime.

2. Do you go to the same stylist each time, try someone new, go to the cheap hair cutting chains or live it up in a salon?
About five years ago, my super stylish and trendy friend, Taren, referred me to her friend and stylist, Lauren. I started seeing her and now she's one of my besties! Even though she isn't working in a salon anymore (she's one of those lucky ones who gets to stay home with her kiddos!), she still makes time for me at her house. I love her to pieces and won't ever go to anyone else unless she makes me! =)

3. Do you color your hair? How often? What's your natural color?Oh, yeah, you don't want to see my natural haircolor.  It's like dishwater. Very ashy blonde. Thank goodness for products to keep you thinking that my hair is naturally pretty! lol

4. The one thing you always do to keep your hair looking great is:
Keep it trimmed! As soon as it starts getting long and losing its shape (um, like the way it is now), it doesn't look good. I'm one of those people with very thin, lank hair. As long as its short, I can trick people into thinking I have bounce and body and all that stuff. =)

5. What hair trend do you love and wish you could rock?
I have short hair, but I've never been brave enough to go for the bold, obvious pixie cut.  I wish I could rock any of these cuts below, especially Ginnifer Goodwin. She's so darn cute!

Happy Friday, y'all! I hope you all enjoy the long weekend! I've been looking forward to this weekend all week long. I can't wait to spend the whole weekend with my little family doing all kinds of fun, summery stuff!

It's only been 3 weeks and I need a trim already. I love the Ginnifer Godwin cut! I think it would look great on you! I'm not that brave either...yet... ;o)

i am so overdue for a cut, too. i'm usually too lazy to make the appointment, but a good and regular trim IS key for great looking hair.

I'm super overdue for a cut as welll!! I think its been almmost 3 months!! Gah!! I'm trying to grow it out but I need my ends trimmed badly. But I just haven't been able to squeeze the extra $$ in for it.. :( Darn adult responsibilities.

Your "about me" section made me smile- Thats pretty much the story of how my blog began as well!

me too, I love pixie cuts but I don't have the courage to do it. I think my chinese features are too flat. You would look nice with pixie cut with your prominent features.

you would look awesome in a pixie, in fact, you're almost there! you should rock it sometime! i did once. in my early 20s. it was fun but i kept thinking, dang, my face is so round :)

i have to dye my hair ALL the time, that's why i do it out of a box. and i'm terrible about getting haircuts. last time i went 6 months. bad!

I've never been one to dye my hair, because I've always liked the color, but now...the gray. It's taking over! I blame B, of course, but that doesn't make it go away. And I don't even know where to begin on the coloring front!

So stressful :)
