Wrappin' It Up & A Little Inspiration

Wrappin' It Up

Guess what, folks, Week 1 of my FWFFC is wrapped up, and we (my guy & I) are going strong! So far this week, I went running five days and did weights PLUS cardio at the gym four days, which was exactly the goal I was hoping to meet!  So, all is good on the fitness front.

As for the finance part of my challenge, I've held out from making any unnecessary purchases this week!  I even browsed Target for a good 20 minutes when filling the Little Missy's prescription and managed to get out unscathed. Amazing, I know!  Do you want to hear something so sad, though? Pirates On Stranger Tides premiered this weekend and guess who did NOT get to see it?  Me! I'm not a huge, like obsessed, Pirates fan, but I do like to see the big movies with cool special effects in the theatre, for the obvious reasons. The big screen makes it better. And in 3D?? I bet it will be amazing! But purchasing a ticket would be an unnecesary expense, so it's not allowed. Oh, well, I'm sure I'll survive.

I have to be honest about something though... I broke down Friday night and ordered a pizza. But I used some free money.  What's that? You haven't heard about free money? Well, let me tell you about it then! While I was cleaning the house Friday afternoon, I stumbled across a bag a swimsuits from JCPenney's that I bought over a month ago.  I had totally forgotten to return them! Jackpot!! I quickly put housecleaning on the back burner, so I could do what was important. Returning those suits for some . . . yep, you guessed it - free money! =)

A Little Inspiration

I'm participating today in two birds' Inspiration Monday.

Here is the inspiration picture:

While I am not nearly the skinny little twig that Annalynn McCord is, here is my spin on her look:

Since this is sort of a menswear inspired look, I was trying to pose like a man. Don't they usually sit all sloucy and put their feet up? ;)

Shirt: Old Navy
Tie: My Guy's
Belt: Target
Jeans: Eddie Bauer
Shoes: rsvp

I kinda felt like a waitress all day, but it was fun to step out of my comfort zone like this. =)

Your man pose is very convincing! You could probably burst into every man's office and see them like that, haha!

Virtual high-five to you for staying on track with FWFFC!!!
I like your spin on the outfit more than little miss Annalynn's, and I'm loving the first pic of you...I could see that in a magazine!

You look like a sassy little thing.
I really thing you pegged the look.
Free money is great. I was taught a long time ago "save on what you need. Spend on what you want"
That is the attitude that gets me through life!
