A Bright Bottom & Getting Organized

A Bright Bottom

Oh, that's right, my bottom is bright. Meaning that today's challenge was to wear something bright on the bottom, people!! Don't go getting any crazy ideas as to what I was saying there. I wore this to work one day last week in anticipation of today's challenge.

Dress & Shoes: Target
Shirt & Cardi (one piece) & Bracelet: Bealls

Getting Organized

It was raining this morning and the forecast called for rain all day. So, I decided that it was a good time for me to start organizing the pantry.  This is what it looked like before:

It's pretty much a mess. Things just thrown in haphazardly.  Boxes half open. Ich. I've been browsing all kinds of beautiful pantries on Pinterest lately, so I was feeling inspired. Now, all I did today was get it organized.  I wasn't able to transfer everything into labeled canisters like I really want to because canisters are expensive! So, here's what it looks like now:

I do have a few canisters (not yet labeled). When I'm finished, I want everything - pasta, flour, sugar, cereal, bisquick - in canisters. And everything else, like crackers, snacks, chips, etc., I want in those little green baskets that you see on the bottom shelf.  Oh, and I plan to put some sort of lining on the second shelf so that I can put all my canned goods on risers.  Basically, I want my finished product to look something like this.

If you want to see how other bloggers showed off their bright bottoms today, then go HEREI hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!

This black and white striped cardigan is the first thing I saw you wear when I discovered your blog. I love it just as much now as then! Great mix of the stripe on stripe.

I need to get some inspiration for organizing. My pantry is a disaster!

Such a pretty color! I love the aquas and teal and turquoises. And B&W stripes were the perfect pairing.

The bright aqua dress was the first thing that caught my eye! I love the way you've layered the top and cardigan - very visually interesting! Loved following your outfits this week for the Summer Trends Challenge - they were all wonderful!

Love what you did with the challenge! I actually looked in my closet today and noticed that I have NO bright bottoms....can you believe that? What a cute look and your pantry is SO neat! I need to go back in there again and throw stuff out!

I love this color combination and mix of stripes. You did a great job putting it all together.
The pantry looks great. I like to go through my pantry once every 6 months as well. It just gets so out of control.
