100 Days Without Shopping

What??? You're probably asking yourself if you're reading that right. Um, well, yes, you are! I'm joining Misty in her Retail Detox. I just saw it yesterday and thought about it for all of about 5 minutes before calling the hubs and seeing what he thought about it.  Well, you can imagine, right? He was, of course, thrilled with the idea. I'm sure in the back of his head, he's skeptical that I'll stick to it. But hey, I'm not one of those people that starts things and never finishes them! Oh, wait, yes, I am. Oh, well, I'll give it my best shot.

Disclaimer #1: My birthday is next week. I'm totally allowed to buy myself birthday gifts.

Disclaimer #2: I'm totally allowing swapping or swiping clothes from my sister and/or mom. =)

Oh, and on that note, here's the outfit (which I recently borrowed from my dear mom) and wore yesterday.

Hahaha, I feel like such a poser looking at this picture!
Shirt: Kaspar (Mom's)
Skirt (Mom's) & Cardi (Gift): NY&Co
Shoes: Nine West from TJMaxx ($15)
Bracelets: Bealls ($3)
Ring: McKell's Closet ($2)

I added the cardigan for the office because, even on the hottest days, it stays freezing in there!

Well, I hope you all have a great weekend! We're heading out to the beach this afternoon and are planning to have all kinds of fun! Hopefully, I'll get some pictures to share with y'all!

You can go here to see the other bloggers that will be going crazy for the next 100 days! =)

100 days!!?? I commend you Tiffany! Although, I do like your disclaimer. It's your birthday next week, so you HAVE to be able to shop :)

What a great pink skirt! It looks fantastic with the animal print ruffle top. GORGEOUS!

Have a great weekend and have fun at the beach :)

These pictures came out so nice! Where ever you went for these pictures, keep going back! The background and the lighting look really good (and you too, of course).

I love this idea! A shopping detox does sound pretty refreshing! You have to buy yourself something extra special next week. As a birthday present, and as a kick start for the next 100 days!

I love this ruffled shell, and the skirt is pretty too! Ok so really...your 100 days should start after your b-day next week :D

It's so tempting to join! Unfortunately, I'm starting a new job on Monday, and since it's my first really full-time full-year job, I'm pretty sure I'll find holes in my wardrobe. Instead, I'm going "thrift only" for the foreseeable future (ie: until my husband is done school and we're both making money). Good luck to you!

super cute thrift! WELL I gues I shouldn't pressure you into buying that " french day skirt" that I made fromm my shop. Thanks for the interest, my little shop is open for you whenever your done the detox haha. I think it's a great thing, to swap with friends instead of money for new things.

As soon as I stock my closet for Fall/Winter...I plan on doing the same thing. Good luck! You look great! :o)

CUTE! I love the outfit.

I'm thinking about doing something similar but I don't know if I could last 100 days. I was thinking maybe just for fall after I've spent this $250 budget I gave myself. I really do need to start using what is already in my closet!

I need the 100 days detox too, I only managed to survive a 30 days one. My flesh is too weak. You should be able to do well, at least you can swap clothes with your sister and mom, they have fabulous clothes. This outfit is gorgeous on you, ruffles with leopard print is fantastic. Red skirt is even better.

Have a happy weekend Tif!

Firts of all, detox or not, I'm glad you entered that disclaimer for your bday...you should TOTALLY be able to buy you want on that day! Other than that, its a great idea and you'll probably get even more creative with your outfits!

Umm...Tiffany? You feelin' okay, hon? The 100 days part is no big deal. But the NO SHOPPING for those 100 days?!? I'm going to join that challenge.........vicariously through you! Lol!

Seriously, you look fantastic in this outfit. That first pic is gorgeous, and the last pic makes me feel like the leopard (if that's the correct animal) is jumping out at me!

Wow! That bright skirt is so great. Good luck with the shopping ban. Swapping (and crafting!) are great alternatives to shopping.

Oh, I love that blouse! Your mom has amazing taste :)

I can't wait to see pictures from your vacation...the ones I've seen so far are ridiculously adorable!

I think you know me well enough to know that I LOVE this photo location, Tiffany :) And the hot pink skirt/animal print blouse. I went several months without shopping during the last 30 for 30 and then just kind of stuck with the no-shopping part for awhile afterwards, so if I can do it, I KNOW YOU CAN!
