Do I Look Like A Teacher?

I wore this outfit Monday morning to meet "my" kids. Okay, they're not really my kids. They're actually my mentor's, but they're the kids that are going to be helping me learn how to manage a classroom.

Dress & Belt: Target
Shirt: Gap
Flower Clip: Flapper Fashions
Ring: Borrowed from Sis
Bracelets: Assortment from Various Stores

I wanted to wear something bright and fun that the kids would like. I think I succeeded because one of the little girls told me in the sweetest little voice, "I like your bracelets." Then she proceeded to tell me that she makes bracelets like these all the time. . . . It made me wonder if it looked like I was wearing a third grader's jewelry. =)

I learned so much in just the few hours I was in the classroom. My mentor is an amazing teacher! I just know that I'll be able to learn a lot from her!

That is so exciting you are following your dream of becoming a teacher! It seems to me that it would be one of the hardest, yet most rewarding jobs to have. You are molding the children of our future! Miss M's teacher is absolutely amazing and you can see she really enjoys it.

You look adorable with your color combo and fun belt :) Heather

You did a great job with the bright, happy colors! They are wonderful to see as we start this fall season - I know I fall into the blacks and grays far too quickly. The belt and chunky accessories are a great touch. So glad you hear you enjoyed your classroom experience!

a compliment is a compliment, i say. when my four-year old daughter tells me i look beautiful, i believe her! and that third grader is right...they are cute (as is the rest of the outfit!)

You look like a really cool & hip teacher! I have a simiar dress (old navy), and never would have thought to pair it with a colored tee! Love it! :)

Maybe she's some kind of jewelry prodigy. :) I like your color combo, and I'm really happy for you.

I am super excited for you Tiffany! I think you will make a fantastic teacher and I really think you will enjoy it. We live too short to work in jobs we don't enjoy...I certainly know the feeling. I went back for my MBA and finished in June of this year thinking I knew exactly what I wanted to do..now I am not so sure..lol! We'll see and yes you certainly do look like a teacher in this outfit and the bracelets are not 3rd graderish.

I'm glad to hear your day was a success! I think your outfit is totally appropriate for working in a classroom. It's fun and quirky. If I was a third grader, I'd compliment you on your belt and fun nail color. Actually, I'm going to compliment you on your belt and fun nail color anyway: love them!

You definitely scored with the kids in this cute outfit, I love the color of your dress! I like the top worn inside to look more adorable! More cute touches with the floral belt and bracelets, the girl is so cute to make comments like that, ha..I think she's trying to tell you that she makes adult looking bracelets.

You look like the teacher they wrote that song about... ;0)

Beautiful dress. And compliments from little ones are always the most genuine. So I'd say it's a keeper!

You're not wearing jewelry made by a third grader, you just have very talented third graders around you. Obviously :)

I'm so glad your first day in the classroom was so amazing! So, have you left your other job entirely, or do you just get time off for school-related events?
