Beauty Full Thursday

It wasn't all that long ago that my morning beauty routine consisted of a bit of powder foundation, some eyeliner and some mascara. I didn't even wear lip gloss or chap stick or anything, unless I was heading out for a night on the town with the Hubs.  Then a dear friend of mine said to me, "Tiffany, you're 30 years old! You need to do a little something to enhance your natural beauty!" Or something to that effect. lol  Now, I still don't do a whole lot to this face of mine, but I like to think my face looks a bit more put together these days then it did a year or so ago, thanks to my friend.
My Favorites

From left to right, those products are:

I still like to keep my beauty routine minimal because I only have a small window of time reserved for getting ready for work. You moms know what I'm talking about, right?!?

I use a little of the eye primer, which is like a miracle cure for dark circles! I put a little bit of that under my eyes and it covers up those dark circles that pop up when I have sleepless nights with sick kids. Then I brush on some loose powder foundation and swipe on a little bit of that shimmery off white shadow. Next comes the eyeliner and mascara and I'm ready to head out the door.  Or at least I'm ready to quickly throw on my own clothes so that I can quickly throw my kids into theirs. And then I'm ready to head out the door!

Are you wondering when I apply the lip gloss and lip definer?  That usually doesn't happen until I'm at a red light. =)

My makeup routine itself only takes me about 5 to 7 minutes.  From start to finish, including a shower, hair and all that jazz, it takes me about 25 minutes to get ready for work.

What does your makeup routine include?  For those of you that are moms, did you notice that you started weeding things out of your routine after the kids came along?  How long does it usually take you to get ready for the day?

I tend to go the whole nine yards with my make-up routine. Concealer, powder (foundation makes me break out), blush, lip stick/lip gloss, primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara. Whew. I've got it down to such a routine, though, it doesn't take me too long at all.

Good idea about putting the primer UNDER your eyes. I don't know why I haven't thought of that. I have dark circles sometimes and they annoy me, but I haven't found a fool proof way to fix them yet. I shall try your trick today and see how it works for me. Thanks!

25 minutes to get ready is impressive. My showers usually take that long by themselves. :S

My makeup routine also takes only about 5 minutes... even though I do pretty much the whole shebang. I start with a foundation then set it with some bronzer/powder, then put some blush on my cheeks. Then I just dab some liner/shadow (depending on my mood) with my finger, then some gloss or lipstick. I don't even put mascara on!

Your hubs is funny! You're a lot younger than me... so I guess that means I need to do a whole lot more to look decent... lol. I love makeup, but I suck at it!

Have a great day!

I am guilty of leaving the house with no make-up too. Actually I don't really wear them at all unless I go out or take blog pictures, since I don't want to scare you guys ;) You are right, simple is always the best!

I think I need to explore this undereye primer. I use concealer but I hate how drying it is.

I go all out on my eyes but luckily don't need much for my skin. . . yet. And of course I love my bright lipsticks. They look good even with no other make up at all.

I start getting ready 1 1/2 hours before I have to leave because I have so many interruptions from the kids. :) If they weren't here it would be a fraction of that.

I put my makeup on at red lights and in the parking lot after I drop off the kids...it is the only quiet time I have in front of a mirror! I have very blotchy skin and dark eye circles, so I use foundation, concealer, mascara, eye shadow, blush and lip gloss...

Yes, my make up routine has definitely been shortened during the week due to mom duties. I always wear primer and concealer for my horrible dark circles. Loose powder, a swipe of eyeshadow and mascara. Lipgloss gets put on right before heading into the office. I stick with the neutral palette during the week. For weekends I try to play with other colors to switch things up. Heather

My routine now is concealer, mascara and lip gloss. Becoming a mama definitely scaled things down. Haha!

I use Erase Paste under my eyes, Bare Minerals on my face, E.L.F. blush (or bronzer) for my cheeks and lipgloss or a subtle lipstick. When I'm giving things a little more effort, I use eye primer, shadow, eyeliner and brow powder. It's all very quick. I probably need mascara but I really can't be bothered with it. Lol. And my routine has increased, rather than decreased post child. The reason: I now need more than I did before!

I wear the same mascara! I ned to start wearing primer. It takes me about 20 minutes just to do my makeup. I'm slow but it's one of my favorite things to do so I take my time.

my make up routine is just 5-8 minutes, with my boys rushing me all the time, I don't have the luxury of time. My make up is mainly tinted moisturizer, eye concealer, maybeline mineral powder, some eye color, blusher and tinted lip gloss. Very light make up. Someday when I am at home, I go makeupless, which is quite gross looking..ha..I like mineral make up too.

I takes me forever to get ready no matter what I do! There's always someone that needs something or thT one last thing that needs to be done. However I the weekend I could be ready in 20 minutes. Why cant everyday be that easy?

I do concealer (because if I don't it looks like I lost in a boxing match), Rimmel Foundation primer, some foundation, bronzer/blush, whatever eyeshadow I'm feeling, black eye-liner and mascara. It doesn't take me but like 5 mins.

The leggings I had on in my last post are actually from Forever 21. They fit skin tight because I have a sneaking suspicion they make them for girls who have no thighs...just sayin

5-7 minutes for the WHOLE make-up routine??? OMG Tiffany I am incredibly jealous! It takes me a good 10 minutes just for my small eyes...they require primer, 3 shadows, 2 different liners, a mascara primer and full mascara thereafter. Lucky you :)

i've definitely trimmed down. if i absolutely had to, i could get ready in 15-20 minutes...given i knew what i was going to wear and my hair cooperated. otherwise it takes me up to 30-40 minutes and we are late for school! makeup is about 5-7 mins and my products are similar.

I am so lazy when it comes to makeup-for everyday I just wear mascara (the same Covergirl you featured-love it!), and lip gloss/colour and a bit of bronzer or blush. I might add some eye shadow and liner on the weekends but that's about it! Haha glad I'm not the only one who applies makeup while driving (wonder if it's worse than texting and driving hmmm)

Seems like you have a quick and effective morning routine, good for you! My makeup takes about 5-7 minutes as well. Along with my shower and getting dressed, I usually take about 25 minutes to half an hour to get ready in the morning. I guess we are pretty alike!

ok yes, since I've become a mom my routine is almost non-existent. I let my hair air dry, I only wear concealer on my zits (which, by the way, when do you get old enough to stop getting those?), mascara, and lipstick. It takes me like ten minutes, but if you include getting dressed then yes, 25 is about right.

I wear pretty mush a little bit of everything. Foundation, bronzer, eyeshadow, liner, mascara, lipstick. But I don't like to overdo it with dramatic colors or anything : )

I'm definitely a quick makeup person too...

my steps are a facial moisturizer with SPF
Primer
concealer under my eyes
mineral powder
liner
mascara
tinted lip balm.

Takes like 5 minutes! I think overall, I take 30-40 minutes to get ready in the morning.

My makeup routine is pretty relax unless I have something fancy to go to. Then I pull out the eye liner and mascara.

I only apply the basics! HAHAHA I've never been one to do elaborate eyes. I think they're so beautiful, but I guess with my job it would be too much. I love the products that you use. It doesn't take me long to apply either. Have a great weekend Tiff!
