Confessions of a Thriftalholic

Okay, I have to admit something to you. I can't stay away from the thrift stores. I pass them every. single. day. on the way to work and I swear, they call to me like a baby calling for its mama. I had done really well for a long time, but it's like a disease! Once you go back, the pull is stronger than ever! lol

Last week, I went in just to browse for a few minutes and I was overwhelmed by bright spring colors everywhere! I left with a whole slew of goodies, including this bright colorblocked dress and chambray shirt!

Chambray shirt: Gap, Thrifted ($4)
Dress: Thrifted ($4)
Shoes: Target ($20)

I had literally been searching for one of these shirts at the thrift store for about a year now.  I felt like I hit the jackpot when I finally found it! =)  And I just love the cheery colors in this dress!

Silver & Turquoise Ring: c/o Blue Vanilla
Knotted Ring and Earrings: My Sister's
Bracelet: Target
Nails: Kiss Nail Dress Win your own HERE!

Are you a thrifter?  Where do you like to find good deals?

I'm linking up today with the lovely ladies behind Monday Mingle, The Pleated Poppy, and Thrifters Anonymous!

OMG ... I love thrifting. I even have my favorite ones where I know I can get better boook at one, clothes at another, and housewares at a third one. I can't believe some of the stuff that people get rid of! Now if I could just find that 1600's oil painting ;)

Thrift stores are getting better and better because people are not bothering with rummage sales anymore and they just dump their unwanted stuff at the stores instead. I love sorting thru and finding cute items for walls and decor!

I LOVE thrifting! My favorite store is about a 5 minute walk from my house, so now that I see this chambray top, I definitely want to go thrifting today! :)

LOVE the dress too, Tiffany!

Such great finds! That dress is so fun...definitely a summer staple. The chambray shirt is one of my favorite items in my closet, love how you knotted it over the dress.

A chambray shirt is on my list too, I used to have one a couple of years ago and of course, sent it on down the line a bit prematurely.

I love the look of yours with the color blocked dress! Cute!

I think it's completely okay to be addicted to thrifting... I know I most certainty am. But look at the wonderful outfits you can put together because of it. I love how bright and happy this outfit feels. Perfect for spring!

Oh, that dress is just so gorgeous! I absolutely love the colors. You know, I've done so well with my 'no shopping' thing so far this year, I've kind of been tempted to take $20 and hit up the thrift stores for a little treat, but I'm afraid it would end up as some sort of gateway drug to overspending again...

What I need is someone to go with me, to keep me on track. You don't have a trip to Atlanta planned anytime soon, do you? :)

This is going to sound ridiculous: I'm afraid of thrift stores. Stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's freak me out. I practically break out into hives! I search and search the racks, and I get frustrated and impatient and I shut down. I think a thrift store will defeat me! Your finds are absolutely adorable!

That dress IS a great find--so perfect for spring! I love to go thrifting too, I just don't do it as often as I'd like.

Adorable! I love the bright colors of the dress!

I'm not a thrifter. I have tried and found a couple things. But I find I can get new clothes for about the same price as our thrift stores charge.

great buys! I like this lovely spring look, the colors are just wonderful. Hurray for thrifting. I try to avoid the stores if I think I have been thrifting too much. For me..the key is not to even step into one...otherwise...the consequences are disastrous.
