Reader Request - Flowy White Skirt

A reader recently thrifted a Tommy Hilfiger flowy white skirt, new with tags, for only $3.99!! I've decided I'm taking my next vacation where ever that thrift store is because this girl scores every time! She asked for a little help styling it and I actually had a tough time with this skirt!  I just kept coming back to earth tones and finally decided there was a reason for that. This flowy maxi skirt has a natural hippie feel to it, so it's meant to be paired with earthy colors and textures.

If I'm being honest, my first look was stolen straight off of Amanda Vaughn on GCB.  Am I embarrassed that I just admitted to watching such a show? Yes, I am. I can promise you this... the girls at my church are nothing like those girls!  Anyways, back to the outfit.

Boho Chic

I added a knee-length white skirt to the look because I just thrifted myself one and really think that the longer skirt can be easily switched for the shorter one. ;)  Also, you can choose to wear wedges for some height or stick with flat sandals.  Either pair will keep with the boho chic feel of the look.

My second look sticks with the earthy tones, but adds some textures and colors.

Earthy tones

So, what do you think?  How would you wear this kind of a skirt?

I like both of your looks. Unfortunately I always throw a t-shirt on with a skirt. I really must break out of that look...somehow. I like wearing skirts in the summer, because they are cool. Since I live in the artci north, I rarely wear them in the winter. Maybe that's why I'm ok with wearing them all summer long.

The second one, but the first one is also beautiful. I am going to follow you on polyvore. My Thursday style is not on today because I couldn't do it on my iPad and my modem has expired. So upset but I love the style you have put together :)

nice...I like how you style this maxi skirt, The looks are casual and laid back, kind of boho indie looks. I like that, brown and turquoise is definitely the best colors to go with this white darling piece.

I really like the first one! I have a white maxi skirt and I'm never quite sure how to wear it. I like the idea of adding a white top and breaking it up with a thin belt. Nice work.

You're a paralegal, too? Cool! Just found your blog through Megan Mae's Stripe Week challenge, and added you to my RSS feed reader.

I like the second look more. All of the accessories are gorgeous. Wearing too much white scares me. I would actually probably wear a bold color and a bold colored sandal with it to make it very warm and summery :)
