Chambray, a Pencil Skirt & Scarlet Samples Jewelry

First of all, Happy Easter!! What a terrible blogger I am that I didn't even acknowledge such a special day yesterday . . . but I really was busy with life.  Church in the morning, where they put on an incredibly awesome Easter Cantata, representing the resurrection from the perspective of the Woman at the Well; then we spent the afternoon at a friend's house, where, of course, the kids hunted eggs!  By the time I got home, I was too exhausted to even attempt to blog. =)  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

Now onto the frivilous things that this little blog is all about. =)  Last week, I saw this post and knew that I wanted to recreate it.  I have a chambray skirt and a black pencil skirt, but as I was getting dressed, my eyes kept going to my mom's fuschia pencil skirt that I still haven't returned.  I decided to switch out the black skirt for the bright one and this was the result!

Chambray Shirt: Gap, Thrifted ($4)
Fuschia Skirt: NY&Co, Borrowed from my Mom ($0)
Belt: Target ($6)
Shoes: rsvp, 6pm.com ($6.95)

You guys!! I recently won a giveaway at Flats to Flip Flops for Scarlet Samples jewelry! I had never even heard of the company before and really didn't know what to expect, but I love the necklace, bracelet and earrings set that I received!

Necklace, bracelet (that you can't see, it's layered between the two pearl bracelets) and earrings: Scarlet Samples
Rings: Target

The necklace has a very solid feel to it. Its very sturdy and feels like it will survive my toddler's grabby hands.  And I love the golden color!

Since I thrifted this chambray shirt, I've worn it a number of times... But I think this may be my favorite outfit with it yet!

Have you joined the chambray shirt trend?  What is your favorite way to wear it?

I'm linking up today with the girls behind Monday Mingle!

Really love this look, Tiffany! The bright skirt is the perfect thing to pair your chambray top with. I might have to keep this in mind for future outfit inspiration! I have a chambray top that I pair with just about everything - even with jeans. And the accessories just bring everything together. Lovely! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and holiday, even if you were a little busy!
