A Weekend on a Wednesday

Wouldn't it be nice if we got a weekend right smack in the middle of the week?  I guess then it wouldn't be a weekend, but just a day off...  Whatever it would be called, it sure would be lovely to kick back and relax with my family in the middle of the work week!

T-Shirt, Belt, Sandals, Necklace: Target
Jorts: American Eagle Boyfriend Jeans Turned Jorts
Bracelets: Bealls

How do you like my fancy hair do? ;)  I turned my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans into shorts. The hole in the knee was simply getting too big, so I chopped them off at the knees and voila! Jean shorts!

My Little Guy wanted in on the action. =)

This is the comfy and casual outfit that I wore on Memorial Day for a park date with my family.  We had absolutely nothing planned this past weekend and I just love impromptu park dates followed by cooling off in our kiddie pool!

I don't often put up pictures of my kids, but here is proof that I really am a mom. And that this outfit is mom proof. Here I am being chased by a "pirate" through the park . . .

And doing other fun mom stuff with my kidlets. =)

What did you do with your long weekend?

I'm linking up today with The Pleated Poppy, Transatlantic Blonde and Simply Sarah

"Weekend Wednesday"...I would absolutely sign that petition! I would be so much more productive on the other 4 days of the work week. :o)
We had church activities ALL weekend..then a picnic and swimming on Monday. It was all good!

My hubby had last wednesday off work (I'm a SAHM so "days off" aren't quite the same!) and it really broke up the week. It was nicer than a long weekend actually, made the whole week have a holiday feel to it!

Anyway, like your outfit. Comfy but cute. Your hair looks lovely! x

Sounds like a perfect weekend! Last time I tried to make shorts out of some jeans, it didn't go so well but yours look great!

Looks like such a fun weekend. I love your relaxed and casual weekend look. The accessories really polish off the look. Great job turning the jeans into shorts - that a great save on getting the most out of your denim.

Yes, I do like your hair in the first pic! ;) And I like your denim shorts...I did the same to a couple of pairs last summer.

Well, you know when you think about it the way Wednesday is actually pernounced is W-end-sday, so there is an end in the word so it could count as a weekend, maybe it could be called pre-weekend or mid weekend. Anyway, great job on the shorts, I've tried that with my jeans several times and I can never get it right. I have a bright pink shirt like that I can't remember where I got it, I think I got mine at Target too.

Hello Miss Tiffany, long time no chat. Looks like the student teaching week went well, and I am super excited you are that much closer to landing your dream job.

Your children are darling! and I did the same thing to some jeans the other day. the hem was all torn and ill-fitting, but the waist and thighs fit fine, so chop chop! Made a great pair of shorts.

what a fun day at the park...the pink tee and cut off shorts are just perfect for the occasion. This is probably something I would be doing very often with my kids this holiday
