Movie Review Monday & A Challenge or Two

Thor!

This weekend, my husband and I got away from it all. It was so nice. Friday, we actually got to see a movie. At the theater, can you believe it?!? Usually, we have to wait till they're out on DVD and watch them after the kids go to bed. It was so nice to see it on the big screen and in 3D, no less! Thor was so funny. It kind of had an ending that I wasn't too happy about, but that guy who played Thor had me laughing the entire time. And Natalie Portman was stunning, as usual. I love her. She's just fantastic.

Anyways, here is what I wore to the movies:

Tank: Express
Top & super cute shoes: My sister's =)
Shorts: Old Navy
Jewelry: Target
Sunglasses: I can't even remember...
Check out these adorable shoes! I love them (despite their rubbing a tiny little blister at the back of my ankle). ;)

Fitness & Finance Challenge

So, after our getaway (in which we ate lots of unhealthy stuff and didn't work out at all AND we spent money like we were rich), we decided to start a Four Week Fitness & Finance Challenge.  Basically, here it is. For the fitness part, we are eating healthy and watching our portions, as well as exercising five days a week.  For me, I'll be running 5 mornings a week and going to the gym for weights (got to tone!) four days a week during my lunch break. For Nate, he'll be going to the gym five days a week and running in the evenings four days a week.  At the end of the four weeks, we'll reassess and see what we want to change in the program.

For the finance part, we're pretty much not spending any money. At all. That is going to be harder for me than the fitness challenge! Groceries, gas, bills . . . that's about it. *sigh* I guess I'll be getting pretty inventive with the clothes I have.  Or I'll start shopping my sister's closet even more than I already do! =)

Sounds like an amazing plan...all grown-up and not as much fun as all of that getaway stuff :)

Good luck with challenge, and I can't wait to hear how it goes when the four weeks is up. I'm trying to get back on the exercise bandwagon, myself, so maybe you can serve as my kick in the pants!

Ha, the last movie my husband and I saw together in the theatre? Hot Tub Time Machine. Which came out well over a year ago. 1) Cute outfit, as always and 2) good luck with your challenge! I wish I could find motivation to start working out again...

You go girl! A fitness regimen... budget-concious endeavors...looking great in a cute outfit...ridiculously cute shoes...cute hubby...! Lol!
Seriously, if, for the next five weeks, you blog about your new challenges (FWFFC), you could really inspire others (like myself)! You can do it! I can't wait to read/see your progress, Tiffany!

oohhh, do a remix! that would be so cool (and it helped me not spend extra money). i'm assuming that Thor was not supposed to be funny? it looked pretty ridiculous in the ads i will say. though i wouldn't mind seeing it (but like you my hubby and i never see movies in the theater).

love those shoes. your sister has excellent taste!

Those sandals are so cute! And you should do the 30 for 30 or something similar during your fitness/finance challenge. It really helped me be a lot more inventive with my clothes. Good luck with the challenge!
