Manic Monday

Just another Manic Monday, wish it were Sunday, cuz that's my fun day! My I don't have to run day . . .

Okay, those lyrics fit today on so many levels. The Hubs left this morning for a business trip, so I was on my own getting the kids out the door and THEN I'll be on my own tonight getting dinner fixed, baths done and kids down. Let me just say, I have the utmost respect for single moms! How in the world do you do it, day in and day out?

I rely on my guy so much each and every day. The other night he had to watch a very important wrestling match (his cousin was wrestling to make the World Team!) right smack in the middle of the kids' bedtime. I honestly barely made it through our bedtime routine with my sanity intact. We joked afterwards that I couldn't survive without him. And have no problem admitting it... I honestly couldn't!
This is what I wore to church Sunday:
Dress: Bealls (Bought for $15 during my Memorial Day shopping extravaganza)
Shoes: Target (a gift)
Cardigan: Target
Necklace: Premier Designs Jewelry

I absolutely love the print on this dress. And initially I thought I liked the shape of it.  But after wearing it for a little while, I realized that it's really not all that flattering on me. I kind of felt like a Stepford Wife, and as you can tell by how much I need my guy's help with the kids and dinner and stuff, Stepford Wife I am not!

I think the retro shape of the dress is very flattering on you! Not to mention that it's trendy these days. And I also love the print! You look gorgeous!

I'm a single mom, but right now we're living with my parents so I get TONS of help from them. Once I pay my car off and have more money for a place of our own, I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to handle it. And...I need to learn how to cook. I can burn water. No lie.

That dress looks really great on you!. The retro look, in my opinion, looks flattering on everyone because of the cinched waist look.

I also agree that single moms need some major props! My husband works A LOT so sometimes I feel like a single mom, but I always know I can count on him when it gets down and dirty to help with the kids.

I think this dress looks great on you! I agree with Melissa in that the shape is definitely in. Hey, you should call yourself Stepford Wife 2.0: New, Improved, and Hot!

I have to say, though, I would be beltin' that sucker to show your tiny waist! (Does it seem as though I'm always advocating belting things?) Hey! And if you don't have the right belt, what about a scarf...???!

Also....Amen for the husbands!

I am not sure I could do it either with the two boys without the help of my hubby. when he went out of town for two days I nearly lost my mind!!

Being a single mom is hard..but then again I only have one. If had 2..I would most certainly lose my sanity on a daily basis!
The dress looks fantastic on you!! :o)

I know what you mean -- when I have to do bedtime alone it is a disaster!

it's certainly challenging being a single mom of TWO, but you learn to just roll with it!

you look so great in these bright colors.

First of all, I don't think this is Stepford Wife-ish at all, I think it's an awesome summer dress!

And as much as I give my husband a hard time about not doing anything around the house, he is beyond helpful with the nightly toddler wrangling, so I guess I should go easy on him :)

I don't see the "unflattering" part - I think you look great!

My husband has been away on business and it's been hard. It's easier that I'm not working this month, though. I'm more relaxed and so are the girls so - whew!

That's a beautiful dress. Just one question. Were you flexing your calves in the second photo from the bottom? It's a good pose and your calves really do look amazing.
