My face doesn't like shadows. Seriously, whenever I take outdoor photos, I end up with creepy shadows on my face that make me look almost sinister. Note to self . . . Remember to admire your shoes (aka look down) whenever attempting outdoor photos.
Dress: Thrifted
Belt: Maurices
Shoes: Target
Bracelets: An assortment from Bealls & Target
Ring: McKell's Closet
On a happier note, I thrifted this dress a while back and I finally got the nerve to wear it! It seemed a little loud and maybe too 90's with the collar and big black button. But when I found this belt at Maurices last week, I knew it was a match made in heaven. =)
See? Doesn't that big flower on the belt go perfectly with the big flowers on the dress? Love it!
And finally, if you haven't entered my giveaway yet, go enter!! =)

You should not have been scared to wear this dress! It is a very flattering style on you and the print is vibrant and perfect for summer! The belt though is definitely a perfect match for this lovely dress :)
I know you live in Florida, but I can see this winterized with black tights and a cardigan with a belt. Maybe even some knee high boots?

Love this dress! I have something similar, and it is not 90s looking at all! Hmmm maybe I am biased?? Blossom dresses...definitely 90s but this not at all! I also love the belt and the arm party you've got going on!
I love your dress :)

The trick is to take outside photos in the shade. There's still flattering light but it's kind of diffused. There's probably even more options but it's the only one I've figured out. :)

Hilarious! I totally had to look down in my photo this week.
You look lovely.

So cute! Love how accessories can jazz up an outfit!
Spectacular dress!
I'm still learning when it comes to outdoor photos, but I find what Jenn said to be true. My best photos are under my porch, otherwise I'm squinting too much or have crazy shadows. I also read that if you're in the shade, you're camera has to be in the shade too.
I think the dress is fantastic, especially with that belt. I'm glad you got over your fear :)
I saw your comment about the swap, and I'm super excited...I love prett colored pants, so I hope they fit, too! I've been meaning to email you all week, but I'm pulling pieces slowly, so hopefully I can send some pictures this weekend, and we can get the final details worked out!
Beautiful! Love the vintage feel of this dress. It is fantastic. The picture looks terrific outside:)

Pretty dress!

I see the 90s vibe you were talking about, but I think you gave it a modern flair. You're wearing it well!
I am not sure what this Maurice's place is but it seems pretty fantastic!!! I like the dress a lot. And I feel you on the shadows. I only take pics in the morning or early evening in my backyard and I'm forced to hide and do quick shots in front yard in the afternoons since it's shady there (though I get really embarrassed when people walk by!).
adore the belt. you look stunning. thanks for another amazing post. Would love if you'd check out my latest post featuring pictures from my Mad Hatter themed engagement party. Thanks love. xoxo

This belt certainly compliments te dress! You look great! And about the shadows, you probably stood sideways to the sun. I had these horrible shadows too until someone told me to avoid direct sunlight :) x
Mmmmmgiiiirrrrrlllll.....I cannot wait to see what else you do with this dress! Fun and unique as it already is, I see you doing some creative stuff with this one!
