Tasty Tuesday - Cowboy Boots & Cookies

Cowboy Boots

Do y'all remember way back in the day when I asked how I should wear my cowboy boots? Well, I finally wore them! I actually wore them Wednesday, Thursday and again on Saturday. (All of a sudden, I'm obsessed with them.) On Saturday, I had access to my mom's camera and snagged a few pictures. =)

 Dress: Maurices ($10)
Belt ($6.50) & Boots (Gift): Target

Sorry about the weird shadows. It was a sunny day and I couldn't find a decent, secluded spot for pictures.

Cookies

Sunday afternoon, we were stuck at home because the Little Miss was sick. (Hand, foot and mouth disease is NO fun at all. Especially when the infected person is barely a year old and has blisters all in her mouth.) Anyways, I was going a bit stir-crazy, which turned into me craving something chocolatey and decadent and delicious, but oh-so bad for me.  I made these cookies. =)

I call them "What's in Your Pantry Cookies" because instead of adding chocolate chunks, I added some of everything I had in my baking box. =)

3/4 cup butter
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
1 cup pecan pieces

Melt butter and let it cool. Combine flour, baking soda and salt, set aside. Combine butter, sugars, egg and egg yolk in a large bowl. Beat until blended.  Gradually add flour mixture, beating at low speed until just blended. Then stir in all the yummy stuff.  Drop little (or big depending on how you like your cookies!) spoonfuls on a cookie sheet (I used one of those Pampered Chef baking stones) and bake at 325 for 12 to 14 minutes.

Then, let them cool just enough so they don't burn your tongue and enjoy them with a tall glass of milk! =)

ohh my goodness that cookie is making my mouth water, girl! lol =) and hooray for cowboy boots! i have two pairs that I bought from a thrift store.. you should try getting them from thrift stores girl because they are dirt cheap and have a vintage/work look to them =) I tend to get mine from the men's section =) anyway, you look GREAT in these boots paired with that LBD! i hope that your baby girl feels much better! if only she was old enough to have a cookie or wear cowboy boots like her mama, maybe it would make her feel better hehe =) well, its so great to meet you Tiffany! i hope you have a wonderful week!
