Ten Things Tuesday - Pink & Gray

Here are a few totally random and completely unrelated things on my mind at the moment...

1.  It's October, it's OCTOBER, y'all!  Is it crazy how fast the time is zipping past? Or does it just seem that way to me??

2.  As I sit here on the laptop and blog, the Hubs is watching a Clint Eastwood movie on the tv and Little Guy is playing Angry Birds on the Ipad. And at this moment, I'm realizing that we are entirely too dependent upon technology.

3.  I kinda like technology.

4.  For the millionth time, I'm starting 30 Day Shred tonight.  I'm making a commitment to do it every single day for the next 30 days.  Right now, the only thing "shredded" around me is the cheese, but I'm looking forward to the minute when my body is "shredded" too. =)

5.  And then it probably will only be shredded for about a minute, until I start eating all the holiday food that November and December brings!

6.  Little Guy and Little Miss are going to be Gnomeo and Juliet for Halloween this year.  Last year, they were a fireman (Little Guy) and fire (Little Miss in a red, yellow and orange tutu and a matching bow).  I think I'll be doing these themed costumes for as long as they let me!

7.  I am so incredibly thankful for the peace that knowing Christ can bring. When life has me confused or stressed, I know that I can turn to Him and he'll calm the storm and give me such an amazing peace.

8.  I made my first pot of chili of the fall season this weekend!!

9.  We went to the fire station for an open house on Saturday and Little Guy is quite obsessed with being a fireman. All day, he ran around the house chopping fires with his axe and then spraying them with a rope (his hose).

10.  Bloggers are joining together this month and blogging for breast cancer awareness.  If you want to see other bloggers who are participating, go to A Working Mom's Closet.  I don't have much pink in my wardrobe, but I'll be trying to incorporate as much of it as I can into my outfits!

Dress & Tights: Maurices
Cardi: Target
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: 6pm.com

I really did iron the dress this morning. But this is one of those dresses that wrinkles as soon as you sit down in it!

Oh! And I almost forgot... I'm linking up today at the Monday Mingle with BonBon Rose Girls!

Oh Tiffany! This outfit is sooo cute! Love the tights, they add some fun to the outfit! Gray and pink are so pretty together :)

Gnomeo and Juliet costumes are going to be so adorable! Miss M is going to be Glinda the Good Witch. Kayla wants to be Snooki! I am trying to talk her out of it, lol! Heather

I love the dress, and that is the type of cotton that wrinkles right when you put it on! I'll be sporting pink 1x a week this month and I am super excited to see all of the participants this month sport the colour! I think you and Mr. Tiffany (is it ok if I call him that) are smart to save for your retirement. As the kids get older, the expenses only become greater so you are doing the right thing! And you will get that Coach bag, check the outlets because mid season a lot of the bags at the stores hit the outlet!

LOVE these tights. The belt is pretty awesome as well.
I kind of love themed costumes, I'm really glad that my boy-toy lets me dress him up on halloween. :)

I know, I can't believe it's October already either. And after this weekend, we'll be a third of the way done with it. Ugh. Can't believe it. I hope the winter goes by just as fast (I hate the winter)!

But, I LOVE chili. I haven't made mine yet, but I can't wait for it. I made veggie chili last year and it was delicious. Hope I still have some recollection of the recipe/cans of stuff I threw into the pot and hoped it would taste good.

Cute blog! So glad you found mine and I found yours. ;)

This dress is so pretty. I really like how you styled it. Perfection. And for a great cause to boot.

I love your shoes! I've been looking for a pair like that. I just ordered some boots from 6pm but I'm afraid they're not what I wanted. :( I've got to get my pink on, too! I don't have a whole lot in my closet either.

very cute! You rock pink and grey. And for a good cause! Not sure if I look nice in just pink and grey though, pink is a no-no for my skin tone. I love your lacy tights, so fabulous with your boots! I can see that life is really good for you, that's wonderful, God is good!

I really love this pink dress! So gorgeous on you!

Technology kind of irks me when it comes to my family spending quality time together. I think we just need to make an effort to get out of the house together as a family more often! Do things! :)

I love this idea of bloggers commemorating Breast Cancer awareness with pink outfit posts- I have to search my closet- pink is not one of my colors- but this is a great cause, so I want to join in!

Happy Wednesday.
