Seriously, I'm about to blow your mind! This chili is uhMAZing!! I can't even take the credit for it. I got the recipe from my coworker who got it from a magazine like 20 years ago. I'm not sure what magazine it was in, but I think I remember her saying that it was around the time of Dallas. Wasn't that a big tv show back in the day? And that this article was based around the show and this chili had something to do with the show... Anyways, I've made a few little changes to it because if you've followed me for any length of time, you know that I tend to do that. =)
What you need:
1 lb ground turkey
1 bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1.5 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1.5 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/2 corn niblet corn
1 can black beans
1 can petit diced tomatoes
1/2 small can tomato sauce
Shredded cheese, sour cream, saltines, fritos . . . whatever you like to eat with chili!

Over medium heat, saute the ground turkey, drain fat (obviously!). Add onion, green pepper, garlic and spices; mix well. Cook, stirring, until onion and green pepper are tender. Add beans, tomatoes, corn and tomato sauce. Stir to mix well. Simmer slowly, covered and stirring occasionally, until thickened and flavors are blended (about 30 to 45 minutes).
Then, add your toppings and devour!
