What I Wore Wednesday - Cozy Sweater or Itchy Sweater?

If I saw this sweater on anyone else, I'd say, "Oh, what a great cozy sweater!" However, when I put it on myself, it quickly turned from cozy to itchy! I don't know what it is with me and picky materials, but my skin is just so sensitive.  Now I remember why I dislike cold weather clothes so much. It's incredibly difficult for me to find a sweater that doesn't pick at my skin!

Sweater: American Eagle (Sister's)
Jeans: Eddie Bauer ($10, I think)
Boots: Shoedazzle (Gift)
Teal Ring: Maurices ($2.99)
Gold Glass Ring: Glow Salon ($5)

You know what's weird about this sweater, though? The longer I wear it, the less itchy it becomes. I thought it would have had the opposite effect on me, but nope. Maybe it's growing on me. =)

Oh, and on a totally unrelated note, the runner didn't show up today. And here I was all ready to embrace my inner blogger and proudly primp and preen in front of the camera without worrying about what he might think. ;)

I'm linking up today with the following lovely ladies:

Go check them out and see the other ladies who are flaunting their style! =)

I hate itchy sweaters! They are the worst. This sweater is absolutely adorable! Red is such a great color on you :) Glad the runner didn't show up for your photo shoot, lol! Heather

Super cute sweater. If it's wool washing it in Eucalan might help make it less itchy.

Love the sweater, but I hate the itchies...the exact reason I don't usually wear sweaters that aren't cardi's. But, I do love seasonal vibe you are styling with that red...

I have a really hard time with wool. It's just too darned itchy. Even if I wear something in between me and the sweater.

I really love this sweater on you. The color and the style are great. Those boots are yum.

It's a shame it is itchy because it is super cute! I call that print "chalet" and I'm looking for the perfect chalet sweater right now.

That's a bummer your sweater is itchy, because it's so cute! Maybe you'll wear the itch out of it :)

It's an adorable sweater! But I really HATE wearing sweaters exactly for the itchiness. I also hate having to "break them in" so they're less itchy!

certain sweaters just have that itchy fiber. i don't think it gets less itchy...i think we eventually get numb, or forget about it...until we remember it's itchy again! great holiday sweater!

I have a very similar sweater you'll see in an outfit post next post! And I bet the sweater is wool or something wool blended which makes it itchy...I hate anything that itches...ugh!

Ha! Maybe your skin was just testing you...trying to see if you'd tough it out or give in :)

I love the sweater/boots combo! Perfect for any cold weather day!

I've also noticed that the more I wash and wear itchy sweaters the more wearable they become. Loving red on you!

That's such a cute sweater. I brought a sweater for costco but since it itched me I returned it.

I too suffer the sweater itch. I can't wear acrylic, but love some wool. But if I get too hot anything drives me nuts. Makes sweater hunting so hard.

At least the sweater is cute. I'm sure you've tried layering, but camis and tissue tees really help in the itch department.
