Tasty Tuesday - Blueberries & Cream Cheese & Zebras

Okay, so we're not actually putting zebras into something that we're eating... But I did get to use my fabulous new zebra print Jane Marvel Tote this weekend!

Tunic ($18) & Leggings ($20): Target
Socks: These are sooo old, so I don't know.
Booties ($20) & Bracelets ($4): JCPenney
Jane Marvel Tote: won in a Monday Mingle giveaway

Thank you Keely for pointing me to these leggings!! They're so comfy and I love them!

How amazing is this tote?!?  It's big and roomy and perfect for all of the traveling that I'll be doing later this week. Not to mention, that it will be ideal for next fall when I'm teaching and lugging all kinds of teachery stuff to school every day! I think I'll be one stylin' teacher with this tote in hand. =)

Not only did I get to use my fabulous new tote this weekend, but I also got to try out a new pinterest recipe, of course, with my own twist. Because if you know me at all, you know that I can never follow a recipe exactly.  Anyways, I found this recipe a while back and decided on Saturday that I needed something delicious and sweet and warm and gooey for breakfast. So, I made this.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Sopapillas
2 cans croissant dough
2 packages softened cream cheese
Frozen or fresh blueberries
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp melted butter
cinnamon & sugar mixture

Spread out one can of dough in an ungreased pan. Mix together cream cheese, vanilla and sugar with a blender until smooth and spread it in on top of the croissant dough.  Layer blueberries on top of the cream cheese mixture and then stretch out the 2nd can of croissant dough on top.  Pour the melted butter on top and then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

When it comes out of the oven, pour yourself a hot cup of coffee and try not to eat the entire pan! It'll be quite the feat, let me tell ya.  What's great about this dish is that it has all the components of a sweet breakfast treat, but it also works perfectly as a dessert.  I even think this dish is tasty enough to be the star of our Christmas morning breakfast/brunch. =)

I'm linking up today with the girls over at Monday Mingle for the chance to win a Serena and Lily gypsy tote, which of course makes me think of Gossip Girl. Does anyone else out there watch Gossip Girl? I'm kind of obsessed with that crazy bunch of kids who just can't seem to get it together.

Last, but not least, don't forget to go enter my Blue Vanilla giveaway for a piece of jewelry of your choice!

I LOVE your top! It's casual and stylish and just wonderful. I could use more things like that to wear to work. I feel like I either wear total bum clothes there or really fancy clothes, but nothing in between.

I'm kind of ignoring your recipe because I am trying to control myself...I've been doing plain oatmeal and fruit and yogurt for breakfast lately. The holiday cookies have been getting me.
