You Can't Catch Me...

I'm the Gingerbread Man!

Dress & Cardi: My Sister's
Leggings: Target ($20)
Belt ($3) & Socks ($3): Aldo
Boots: Rue 21 ($12.50)

One day last week, I read the beautiful Kassi's post about dressing like the supporting characters of Christmas and thought that sounded like fun!  When I was browsing my sister's closet earlier this week, I saw this lacy dress and rusty red cardigan and got inspired. =)

The rings and bracelets represent the fun bling that gingerbread men are always sporting.

The boots are for running through the snow . . . you know, because Gingerbread Men are always on the run. =)

Speaking of boots, what do you think? This is my *ahem* sixth pair of boots since September... It might be safe to say that I have a boot problem, seeing as how I live in Florida where we get like one month of winter.

So, here I am all dressed up like a Gingerbread Man. I almost wish I had saved this little outfit for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I'm just about fresh out of inspiration, so I'm going to have to dig deep to come up with something festive for the main event! =)

I hope y'all are enjoying the last few days leading up to Christmas!! We celebrated Christmas with the kidlets last night and we're heading to New Orleans tomorrow to spend the holidays with my family. I can't wait to see everyone and just soak up lots of family time!

What about you? Do you have traveling plans for the next few days? Or are you holing up at home and enjoying the festivities at your own house?

If you haven't entered yet, head on over to my giveaway and enter to win the item of your choice from Blue Vanilla!! You only have until Christmas to enter and then I'll be announcing the winner! =)

This outfit is adorable, I love the color of your cardigan and the lace dress paired with edgy boots. I have 5 pairs of boots, so I share your boot problem.

Have a great time in New Orleans!

Haha! Six pairs of boots in Florida?! Now I don't feel so bad about owning so many coats/jackets even though I live in Arizona ;) I think those boots are pretty cute though, even if you can only wear them one month of the year!

Awww I love the gingerbread man story... And yes the boots definitely may signify a problem and might I ask if that was acquired during or prior to the shopping ban or are you going to wrap them up?? HEHE. TO answer your question, the influenster badges are on the page where you log in. You have the smart phone app badge you could unlock. Twitter, and so forth. What you find of interest are the badges you'll unlock. Hope this helps.

I love that lace dress and I think the boots are awesome! They'll look great with skirts and bare legs too, so you should get some mileage out of them :)
