The Blues & Bright Lips

If you're a frequent reader of my little blog, then you can probably guess which jeans I'm wearing today... Yep, my turquiose jeans! =)  I've been wearing them about once a week. Maybe it's time to get myself another pair of colored jeans to throw into the rotation.

Turquoise Jeans & Ruffled Tank: NY&Co
Sweater: Old Navy
Heels: rsvp, www.6pm.com

My Little Guy (he's four, but has excellent taste in style!) has been trying to get me to wear this tank with these jeans for a few weeks now.  I can't wear the tank by itself to work, so I had been putting him off. Every time I wore these jeans with a different top, he was all disappointed that I didn't go with his choice.  So, when I pulled out these jeans again yesterday morning, I was determined to find something to wear over the tank that would make it work for teaching and the office!

And it just so happened that the day before wearing this little outfit, I happened to read a post by Marionberry Style about monochromatic styling. She had put together a cute little outfit in shades of pink, and it made me realize that my Little Guy knew what he was talking about when he put together this one in shades of blue.

My Little Guy was so happy when he saw what I was wearing and suggested that I wear a sweater, rather than a jacket.  When we found the tan cap sleeve sweater, he gave me the thumbs up and said that I looked "so very pretty."

Bracelets, Watch, Necklace & Earrings: Target
Big Ole Flower Ring: Alyssa's Antique Depot
Turquoise & Silver Ring: c/o Blue Vanilla

I also decided to take it up a notch and wear bright lipstick for the first time in about two years.  I don't know what got into me, but I was full of all kinds of sass yesterday. ;)

I'm linking up today with Tara for her Teacher Have Class & Style linkup! Head on over there to see how other educators dress fashionably in the classroom! =)

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!

Goodness, that little man of yours really does have a great taste in style. I am impressed with his keen eye for the monochromatic trend. And adding that lovely sweater over the top was a great suggest as well. You have a prodigy on your hands, Tiffany! But really, I love this outfit. The bright colors are perfect for spring and I love the bright lipstick you added. So pretty! Hope you and the family have a great weekend!

That is so funny that he was adamant about you wearing it! It is cute so he was right on. My 3 year old son was mesmerized by me hot rolling my hair this morning. He even stood by and handed me the hair pins as I needed them. Toddlers are so funny!

Wow, he did a GREAT job! Maybe I should start consulting my four year-old for outfit ideas? (Although he did get REALLY REALLY excited when we came across a Mario t-shirt today at Belk. I am not down with that look.)

This is very cute. I love turquoise! Make sure you save those for when Skylar's power color is blue. That'll be a while, I still got yellow and green to cover yet. I love this outfit though and you have an awesome blog.
