Having the Time of My Life

First of all, I'm sorry I've been MIA the past few days! I appreciate you all continuing to stop by and show your support of my little blog. =)

I've been student-teaching this week and I've been swamped! I've got to say, I absolutely love getting to spend so much time with the kids each week. Since I began my student-teaching experience, I've had to fit in my time with them on my lunch breaks.

Shirt & Dress: Thrifted
Shoes, Belt, Necklace & Watch: Target
Bracelets: Bealls
This is the first week that I've used vacation at my "real job" and gotten to spend every minute of the day at the school!

I'm literally having a blast! At the same time, I'm mentally exhausted at the end of the day.  How do you blogging teachers do it?? Pray tell!

I simply haven't had time in the mornings to photograph my outfits, much less enough brain cells left over at the end of the day to think of anything clever to write!  I promise that I'll be around towards the end of the week to see what you all are up to!

So, how do you manage? Whether you're a teacher or a mom or an employee somewhere, when do you fit in photographing your outfits and blogging and visiting other blogs and all that jazz?

While you're here, don't forget to enter my eShakti Giveaway!

You look so fresh and lovely. I love the way you cinched that belt. What would we do without Target?

P.S. I owe you an email. I got way behind on my Gmail account when The Teen was hospitalized, and accidentally hit the setting that allowed all the Anonymous Blogger comments through, too. It's been the very devil sorting out real from fake email :P

TOtally LOVE this outfit, Tiffany! That dress with all the colorblocking is so fancy! It looks so fun and fresh :)

I often wonder how people with full time jobs manage to blog... Even when I was in grad school and teaching, I had a bunch of time left over when I wasn't studying or whatnot.

I love that colour blocked skirt!
I have a good system going - pictures as soon as I walk in the door, and then post the following week. While I do get home quite early, and I don't have a lot of evening obligations, it's great knowing it's done! Then every Sunday, I spend the evening in front of the TV writing a week's worth of blog posts!

How cute is that colorblock skirt?! I barely have time to make it out the door, let alone take outfit photos. I usually do mine on the weekends (when I have much more time) or in a pinch, do them after work.

i love the colors of your skirt!! i'm a teacher and sometimes it is hard to find time to blog -but it is a good distraction and hobby! a lot of times I'll write a few posts on the weekends when I think of good ideas, and that way they are all ready to go during the week!

I'm glad you are having such a fun time! It is indeed really hard to have a job, a life, and a blog. I take my pictures right before I go to work, edit them after work like at 5ish, and then post them while I eat dinner. Loving the colors of your skirt btw!

Hello beautiful! You look so pretty in your bright colors and cute chambray!

Hope your week goes smoothly. :) No words of wisdom here just encouragement to keep doing what you love, but don't let it stress you out.

Hi tiff! We have missed you so much while you've been away! :( I'm happy to hear that your student teaching is going well. I can only imagine what a great teacher you are. Those are some lucky kiddos. Your outfit is adorable; I love the sleeveless denim top and the way you have styled it.

As far as the "time for blogging"thing, I have no idea how I do it! :) I guess I just make sure to set aside 30 minutes per night for myself. It's not a lot of time, but it's enough. :)

I struggle with getting photos for my blog. I'm always bugging my friends, husband and co-workers to take a quick photo for me!

I'm not a teacher or a Mum but I work two jobs, volunteer and am in the process of selling my condo so blogging has definitely taken a back seat. I find when it's something you truly love, you find time. LOVE this dress worn as a skirt- the colour blocking is fabulous!

LOVE how bright the skirt is. If you were an item of clothing, you'd be that skirt. Peppy, adorable, and absolutely fantastic! :)

Well, I managed to blog and teach last year, but I can't say I did either thing well! It's really hard, but I know you'll eventually find a balance.

How to handle it all? One day at a time.
For me, blogging is a fun past time...when I have the time. If I can do a post or don't have the time to read through the blogs that I follow, I'll save that task for another day when I can give it some time.
Otherwise, I try to portion the evening hours between son, husband, work (e.g. grading papers, preparing for the next day), or just having some time to myself.
The first year teacing is tough, but don't worry though, you'll figure it all out! ;)

If I have time on the weekends, I snap a few outfits and save them for the week! I love the skirt with the denim top. Very cute combo!

What a great question. It took me so long to get the hang of things. First of all my work outfits aren't particularly exciting enough to put on my blog so I usually try to fit as many outfits as I can into the weekend and then just schedule my posts throughout the week. I've found that to work extremely well for me.

Ha! When you find that answer, could you share it with me? I am obviously not doing so well in ANY of those categories :)

I love this skirt! The colors are so much fun.
