eShakti Dress Review

When eShakti contacted me about reviewing something from their site, I was thrilled! I have seen reviews all over the blogosphere raving about the high quality of their pieces, so I was incredibly excited about getting my own sample to review! When I started browsing their website, it was really hard to choose something... Everything they have is beautiful! In the end, I chose this little dress.

Dress: c/o eShakti
Tights: Target
Booties: Steve Madden from 6pm.com
Jewelry: Borrowed from My Sis

Shakti means power in Sanskrit... eShakti therefore means power of the web or the internet. The internet gives us all kinds of power, including the power to shop!

eShakti not only gives us the power to shop, but also the power to customize our purchases so that we can receive a customized, perfectly fitted dress, jacket or skirt without ever leaving the comfort of our home! Not only can you give them your measurements so that the dress fits like a glove, but you can choose hem length, sleeve length and even what kind of neckline you want. That's the kind of power I like when I'm shopping!

I love this dress! It is high quality and very well made. And how cute is it?!? The high waist and wide belt cinches in my waist and makes it look like I haven't been eating Christmas cookies . . . when I totally have. And these pockets are perfect for storing lip gloss or a little pack of gum or animal crackers for the kids. ;)

Okay, so here's the deal. Y'all know how I'm a sucker for a good sale, right? Well, we are all in luck! ;) eShakti is having some great sales right now!  All cardigans and jackets are up to 50% off and their winter items are all 50% off, not to mention that any new shopper gets $20 off of their first order!

So, go ahead and get to shopping! They have such a huge selection to choose from and everything is gorgeous!

I'm linking up today with the fabulous girls over at Monday Mingle. You should, too! =)

Bringing a Summery Dress into Fall

I'm going to a meeting today at the school where I'm student teaching.  I'll be meeting a lot of other teachers that I haven't yet met and I may even get to meet the principal! So, I dressed with them in mind.  I wore the bright dress and fun tights to convey that my personality will work well with children, but I grounded the look with the gray sweater and simple accessories.

Faux Leather Moto Jacket: Rue 21 (Gift)
Dress ($10), Belt ($12) & Tights ($7): Target
Sweater: NY&Co (Gift)
Madden Girl Booties: 6pm.com (Gift)
Necklace: Poshlocket via Casual Chic Kiki Giveaway
Bracelet & Ring: Borrowed from My Sister

I've worn this dress before here, here, and here.

I guess this necklace really isn't all that simple and is actually quite fabulous. I love all the sparkly layers.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, today I'm thankful for my Little Miss. She's my little bundle of energy and attitude. She goes from giving me the evil eye if she doesn't like something I'm doing to showering me with hugs and kisses in a matter of minutes. Just last night, she started giving "pretty eyes."  She was looking at Daddy and he was talking with her and she suddenly smiled really sweetly and blinked her eyes rapidly. lol She's going to have him wrapped around her tiny little finger!

Tough Stuff

You know how there are days when you put something on and you immediately feel pretty tough?  Bessie actually wrote about the same thing yesterday.  That's what this ensemble did for me. I think a lot of the feeling came from the moto jacket that my sweet sis got me for my birthday, but I think the black skinnies and the booties contributed to the feeling, too.

Jacket: Rue 21 (Gift)
Sweater: Maurices ($6)
Black Skinnies: Old Navy ($15)
Booties: 6pm.com (Gift)
All Jewelry: Borrowed from my Sister

Strikin' a pose ;)

When I got home from work on Thursday (that's when I wore this), the Hubs said to my Little Guy, "I didn't know a Hell's Angel was picking you up from school." lol  I'm telling ya, I felt pretty tough all day.  It kind of made me feel like even though I had attorneys walking all over me all day long I could beat them up if I wanted to. ;)
