New Jeans!

If you don't actually jump onto a particular trend right away, are you still cool when you finally do it? ;) I finally joined everyone else in the world and got myself a pair of cute turquoise jeans!

Shirt: NY&Co ($10, similar here)
Jeans: NY&Co ($30, similar here and here)
Tank, Wrist Wrap & Necklace: Target
Shoes: 6pm.com (similar here and here)

Of course, the first thing I wanted to do with it was pair it with an equally bright color.  If you combine fuschia and turquoise on a Friday (when I wore this outfit), you are bound to have an endless supply of chipperness! And I did. I was like the epitome of bubbly all day long. ;)

Maybe I should have saved this outfit for today... Monday is always in need of some extra chipperness, wouldn't you say?  I guess an extra cup or two of coffee will have to suffice. ;)

Guess what, you guys?!?  My week of teaching (where I spend the week in charge of and teaching the classroom I've been doing my practicum in) is coming up so fast! Do y'all remember when I made the decision to change careers and start the process to get certified to teach not all that long ago??  I honestly can't believe that I'm so close to the end!

Turquoise Ring: c/o Blue Vanilla
Pink Flower Ring: Pink Lemonade

I hope you're all having a happy Monday! I'm linking up today with Monday Mingle!

A Lace Vest, Sunglasses & Exclamation Points

I've had this lace vest for a while now and I think I've only worn it once or twice... But at church on Sunday, I saw a cute friend of mine paired one with a printed dress and I thought . . . I can do that!  So, I did. =)

Halftee: c/o Halftee (purchase here)
Lace Vest: Maurices ($6, similar here)
Dress: Target ($20, similar here and here)
Sandals: A Boutique in New Orleans ($10, similar here and here)

I felt a bit like a hippie in this outfit. The gladiator sandals, the breezy dress, the lace vest and the aviator sunglasses . . . It all really made me feel like I should have long tangled hair with a headband woven from fresh picked flowers. ;)

Sunglasses: Daisy Fuentes, Kohls ($10, similar here)
Leather & Chain Bracelet: Gift
Gold Freshwater Pearl & Citrine Bracelet: Won in a Giveaway (purchase here)
Blown Glass Ring: Glow Salon ($5, similar here)

I got these sunglasses this weekend from Kohls and I love them. I've had the hardest time finding a pair of sunglasses that complement my face and haircut and these really seem to do it. Yay for aviators! ;)

I was commenting on a blog yesterday and realized that I use a lot of exclamation points! Ha, see there. =) It reminded me of the episode of Seinfeld where Elaine breaks up with her boyfriend over his lack of exclamation points in a note that he left her.  I tend to use them everywhere and all the time! I'm kind of an animated person and I like to try to portray my exact feeling in my text as I do in conversation. Or maybe I'm just making excuses for sounding like a cheerleader. ;)

How about you? Are you a lover or exclamation points, too?
