I'm over there today!

The adorable Whitney is on a work-cation and asked me to fill in for her.  Wait, what's that? I just made up a word?  Well, in my head, when you go on a work-related trip and stay a few extra days for your own vacation, it becomes a work-cation. Yes, I do realize that when I'm teaching I can't make up my own words . . . but I'm not teaching yet, so bring it on, Webster! (As in the dictionary.) ;)

Anyways head on over to Along the Lines of Style to read all about why I bravely tentatively bared my sparkly white legs and weigh in on the burning question of the day.  Well, I'm not going to tell you the question here! You have to follow the trail to Whitney's blog to find out what it is. ;)

Oh, and while you're here, don't forget to enter to win a $100 gift certificate to Monroe & Main!!

I'm linking up today with Transatlantic Blonde and The Pleated Poppy.

I hope you're all having a fabulous week! Mine is starting to look up... I'm planning to play hooky (with permission from the boss) from work tomorrow and spend the entire day lounging on the beach with my long lost bestie sans kiddos! Woohoo! =)

Fashion Challenge - Navy

I had been planning to participate in Keely's and Megan's Fashion Challenge all week. The challenge for the week has been to style a neutral color each day. Monday was black; Tuesday was gray; Wednesday was brown and Thursday was cognac. However, I just wasn't feeling inspired by the neutral pieces in my closet. =/  Like what I wore today.  The challenge was to make Navy the focal point of your look.  Well, all I have that is navy is this pair of pants and this is what I came up with.

Shirt: Old Navy (Ages & ages ago ?$)
Pants: American Eagle (Handed Down from Sis)
Belt: Target ($6)
All Jewelry: Borrowed from Sis
Shoes: Rsvp from 6pm.com ($6.95)

It's nothing jaw-dropping or inspiring, but I thought I'd post it anyways. I mean, it's real life, right? =)

Guess what? I guest posted over at My Southern Fried Christian Life about Christmas! Go check it out!

And if you haven't already entered, head on over and enter my giveaway!!
