Black shirt: Old Navy
Tank: Express
Black Cardi: Target
Skirt: The Limited
Scarf: No idea... I think it might be my sister's. =)
Pink Flip Flops: Bealls
Pink Flower Ring, Earrings & Flower Clip: http://www.etsy.com/shop/flapperfashions
Necklace (I took it off right when I got home from work): Also swiped from my sis
When this outfit first popped into my head, it was just the blue bubble skirt and the black shirt. I knew I wanted to try doing something bright like Leah of Little Red Purse recently posted about, but I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted to go with it. I decided I wanted to accent with hot pink, but was still missing something. I knew that the shirt wasn't office appropriate (it's more of a tank) and I really wanted a zebra printed or black & white cardi like Daphne and Ashley recently wore, but I had nothing like that in my closet.
Then my eyes happened across this zebra printed scarf! I remembered that Meredith of Yours, Mine & Ours often wears scarves as belts and even posted a little tutorial about it. Could I pull it off, I wondered... Well, I don't know if I did, but I certainly tried. =)
I doubled up the necklace. I thought it toughened up the look a bit. I don't know...
Has anyone ever seen the "Man Hands" episode of Seinfeld? 'Nuff said! =)
I really like how the zebra print makes the outfit have just a bit more of the '80s vibe. That's what I was looking for when I was putting it together.

I took this picture this morning at work before I knew whether or not I'd have a photographer available later in the day... By photographer, I meant my husband or my sister. =)

Oh, shoot - forget what your husband has said, I think you look cute! Love the black, pink, blue, and especially the zebra print!
Tiff! This is even cuter than you described it! I love the zebra scarf as a belt, and the hot pink touches you put in there.. Adorable! :)
Love this colorful outfit. The pink ring is so cute.

Oh, please, there were tons of things good with the clothes in the 80s, in moderation, of course.
Bright colors? Good! A little lace? Great! Crazy accessories? Of course!
So, your husband is officially out voted...and you look great :)
This Life, Redefined...Stop by and say hi!
Looks fun and festive! maybe not flip flops for work, but for hanging out, sure!
I really like your skirt. I have wanted a skirt in that colour for ages, think I'm probably going to have to make one.
Fab outfit! I want your skirt and your scarf! Love 'em! :o)

awkwardly chic
The blue skirt is electric! And the printed scarf-turned-belt add just the right contrast. Oh, and the pink touches are perfect...especially the ring (I want it)!
