Anniversary Sunday - A Lot of Love & Some Family Time

Today was our pastor's 20th anniversary of being at our church.  He's a fantastic pastor. He's one of those pastors that you can tell has a genuine love for his congregation. I love that about him.  I wish we could have stayed for the celebratory lunch and patriotic service in the afternoon, but we had to get over to my niece and nephew's birthday party, which of course, the kids thoroughly enjoyed!

I don't know what it's like in your family, but when we get our kids together with the cousins, it's total chaos. The good kind of chaos that shows the kids are having an absolute blast. =)

This is what I wore to church:
Dress: My sister's
Cardi & Belt: Target
Shoes: 6pm.com
This is the second time I've worn this dress, almost the exact same way.  I actually can't stand wearing it. It ties around the neck and makes me feel like I'm suffocating! I'm kind of picky about my clothes. They can't be itchy. They can't be scratchy. And they can't make me feel like I'm suffocating! I'm weird like that.  Anyways, the only reason I wore it (again!) is because it's the only thing I had that was blue and white. I wanted to add a red cardigan to it so that I could be super patriotic, but I didn't have one. And as you know, I'm on a strict budget this month!

Okay, kids are in bed, so I'm off to go watch a Rules of Engagement (we're working our way through the first season. David Spade is high-larious!!), have a little smores ice cream and then get some sleep!

I hope you all have a Happy 4th! And if you're not in the good ole US of A, then have a Happy Monday! =)

The dress looks lovely on you! The heels I love. I have the same problem with turtle neck collars. I can't eat and talk comfortably.

I think you were on point with the white cardi. And I can understand you not feeling comfy in this dress...but without a doubt, it looks great on you! Maaaaaybeee, if your sister gifted you that dress, you could change the neckline....??? Maybe?

Unfortunately, since I'm the last kid out of my siblings by ten years, they all grew up together...and their kids all grew up together. All of my nieces and nephews are 16 and up...and then there's my little P. However, when we do get together, it is still chaotic b/c everyone goes crazy over P. He gets all the attention!

total mayhem when the cousins get together here, too! i rarely wear halter or high neck things for the same reason...i absolutely hate the feeling. but i guess there is a small price to pay for fashion :) the dress does look really good on you, though and the sweater gives it a fresh look.
