Colorful

Yesterday was a rainy day and I was sleep deprived, so I did what I always do in that situation. I just kept piling on colors until I cheered up. =)

Chambray Sleeveless Shirt: Thrifted ($3, similar here and here)
Green Skirt: Loft, Thrifted ($3.50, similar here and here... sorry I couldn't find any longer ones)
Yellow wedge sandals: Cato (Gift from my aunt, Thanks Aunt Jannie!! similar here and here)

Green, blue, yellow, pink . . . All I really need is another color or two and I'd look similar to a rainbow in a blue sky.

Necklace: Target ($10, I think... similar here and here)
Pink wrist wrap: Target ($7, similar here)
Leather & chain link bracelet: Gift, similar here)

It did the trick and even helped to push the clouds away, because by noon, it was sunny! Of course, that could just be Florida's fickle weather for you. ;)

Hey, I have a quick favor to ask of you... would you mind voting for my picture in a style contest, please, pretty please?  All you have to do is go to April M Jewelry and like their facebook page.  Then just like my photo on their page... It's currently the second one down. It's the picture of the outfit I posted yesterday with the lace vest.  Thanks, girls!! Y'all are the best! =)

What do you tend to do when it's gloomy out? Do you dress in brighter colors to counteract the gloominess or do you embrace it and dress in neutral shades?

I'm linking up today for What I Wore Wednesday with The Pleated Poppy and Transatlantic Blonde!

I love those shoes! When it's gloomy out I usually wear dark colors, BUT when I'm in a bad mood, I wear bright colors :)

It depends. If it's gloomy once in a while I dress in bright colors, but I've noticed if it's gloomy for a while I start to dress a little more . . . gray. :)

You look lovely!

The bright colors in this outfit are perfect for cheering up a rainy day! I tend to wear more muted colors when it's rainy and gloomy outside.

On gloomy days I usually just dress to match the weather. But, I live in Phoenix where it's almost always sunny and bright, so I use those few gloomy days to wear darker tones ;)

I really like this bright outfit though. That chambray top is WONDERFUL! What a great thrifted find!

Love your colors! I do the same thing. When I was in high school, I even dressed up on test days. Granted, I bombed the test, but I at least looked fabulous.

I should try your bright colours theory. I've just been wearing my husband's giant sweaters!

Holy Guacamole! I love this outfit. The shoes are so adorable with your bright toes. The green skirt is awesome sauce, and I want one for sure. (In fact, I already looked for one at GW today after seeing your post--no luck). I'll just have to keep trying. :)

what a great outfit ! The shoes are a nice pop of color for a dull day ! We haven't had any rain yet here in central Florida but it is supposed to rain on Saturday. I kind of like a rainy day so I don't usually dress up too colorful !
