Thrifty Thursday - Orange You Glad?

I never thought I'd be happy to say I got something at a thrift store, but I'm totally hooked on thrifting!  I go to my favorite local thrift store (Helping Hands, in case any of you locals were wondering), about once a week in search of brightly colored pencil skirts. I still haven't found one, but I have, however, come home with a slew of other stuff.  Last week, I scored this orange cardi and braided belt.

Shirt (Loft), Cardi, Belt & Bracelets: Thrifted
Skirt: NY&Co (Borrowed from my Sis)
Shoes: Target (Gift from a friend)
The chipped polish is being fixed tomorrow, I promise! ;)

Since everything that wasn't thrifted, was borrowed or given to me, the entire cost of this outfit was $7.00! That is pretty darn cool. =) It's so cool that I'm linking up with Thursdays are for Thrifters!

Have you entered my giveaway yet?  If not, go check it out!!

Your cardigan is adorable! I would love to find a bright orange cardigan just because, well, hardly anybody wears orange cardigans. I like being different!!! Also, your braided belt is super cute. I never wear belts ... I think that is leftover from the hip hugger trend that I was born into where you actually want your pants to sag down to your pubic bone.

Love the bright orange cardi...so fun with that patterned top. Great how you wore the belt lower! Incredible outfit for $7!

That color looks great with the printed top and YAY for inexpensive outfits that look like a million bucks!

$7??? What a bargain and none of these pieces look 'thrifted,' to me! I love the orange cardigan and you will find your bright pencil skirt in no time! A few will make their way just in time for fall I am sure :)

Isn't it amazing what you can find on a trip to the thrift store? It's one of my favorite ways to shop for clothes these days! You found some great things - the color of that cardigan is great for summer and works great with the out. I am also loving the braided belt. A very adorable outfit, and it looks so much more expensive that $7. What a great combination.

I have yet to be lucky in a thrift store. I went to a consignment shop in Boston last year and was appalled at the overpriced (and cruddy) merchandise. You obviously have more luck than me in this department because I know I couldn't find that orange cardigan even if my life depended on it. I love your bargain outfits - you look great as always!

aren't thrift stores the BEST?? i was never one for marshall's, ross, or thrift stores - i hated digging through things. but once i saw the calm in sorting through racks, and the utter joy of finding a gem . . . i'll never go back!
