Style Me Chic - Pretty Pleats

I finally have myself one of those swishy pleated skirts I've been seeing all over the place!

Shirt: Loft, Thrifted
Skirt: c/o Oasap (similar; cute option)

This skirt is perfect!! It's light and swishy and I adore the rich color. I should have attempted a twirl for you because it is the perfect twirly skirt!

Instead, I stuck with my tried and true blogger poses. =)

Shoes: Nine West, TJMaxx

I got these shoes on sale last fall and I still love them!

Multi-colored Stacking Ring & Silver Bracelet: Premier Design Jewelry
Watch, Big Silver Ring & Necklace: Target
Belt: TJMaxx

When I first received this skirt, I was unsure how to style it. It has an elastic waist, so if I'm going to tuck in a shirt, then I think it looks best belted... So, here's my question for you! Give me some ideas. How else would you style this skirt?

I'm linking up today with YOLO Mondays, Monday Mingle, Watch What I'm Wearing and Style Me Chic!

It's the last day to enter my my Road ID giveaway!! Hurry up and get your entry in! I'll announce the winner tomorrow. =)

**This is a sponsored post. I received a skirt from Oasap to style, but all opinions are totally honest and 100% mine!

The colors in this outfit remind me of the ocean, so pretty! You could style that skirt so many different ways...with a tied chambray shirt, with a patterned top (stripes, polka dots etc)!

Love this, love this, love this! If you don't feel like a belt, you can tie your shirt to one side so it'll cover the waistband.

Seriously, though. These colors are so pretty on you, and those heels are KILLA!

You look amazing in this outfit! I love the blue and mint together, and the belt is perfect. I have a black pleated skirt like that with the elastic waist. I can't figure out how to wear it without a belt. Maybe a belted shirt over the skirt and a blazer for fall???? :)

I love it Tiff! The contrasting of the two blues looks amazing. The skirt looks great belted. For another look, I would try one of those flower belts with it and a different colored top. Take it into fall with a cardi and belted. Endless options and excellent investment! You look pretty!

That IS a great skirt, and I love the color you paired it with. I've been looking for a skirt like that too! I bet it would look good with a knotted tee or button up as well :)

The color of that skirt is my absolute favorite and I love it paired with the aqua. Love those shoes too!

Gotta love thrifting Loft separates - they always fit in! Awesome color-blocking and shoes. You could wear this shirt with cardis and blouses belted over it, or a cropped jacket to nip in the waist of looser blouses.

Uuuuhh, your new skirt is just BEAUTIFUL! I love the color and the pleats. I also really like how you accessorized, very very chic.

Hmmm, I would try it with a simple white tee and a pair of killer heels!

I love this color combination, especially with the deep tone of that amazing skirt! I think elastic waist skirts are tricky sometimes too, but I think a belt is the ticket, it looks great!

and I love it! especially the color! I think pleats are hard to style - but I love it with the belt and the two different colors. I think a denim/chambray shirt would look really cute too - either tucked in or tied over it.

I love this skirt and the two blues together are adorable! You couls put a white tank top with a belt or a button up blouse tied instead.of tucked in!

What a fabulous skirt! I love the pleats, and that colour is fabulous! You could also try this with an untucked sequin tank top, a gingham blouse knotted at the waist, or black and white polka dots! That skirt is just so versatile!!!

Looks beautiful. Great color. I like it with the belt. I have a hard time knowing how to wear those cotton maxi skirts with the waist that folds down. For some reason, I have no idea what to put on the top.

Maybe you should do a post on confusing waistbands. ;-)
